Loud Ovation for Hon. Omowunmi Ohwovoriole @ 50th Birthday Thanksgiving & Reception

Former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo State and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Princess Omowunmi Ohwovoriole on Sunday, 20th August, 2022 received loud ovation from friends, family and associates as she hosted creme-de-la-creme at a grand reception to mark her 50th birthday in Akure.
The early morning celebration started with a church service at St. Davids Anglican Cathedral, Ijomu attended by family, friends and representative of the Ondo State Acting Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa where Rev. Timothy Kurejo delivered a sermon to also mark the 100th birthday of her father, Pa. Samuel Olatunji Eddo before the event climaxed at a grand reception.
The Deji of Akure kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, one of his wives, Olori Adetutu Aladelusi, the All Progressive Congress APC State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Akure philanthropist, Dr. Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu, law makers across Ondo and Ekiti State and key cabinet members of Ondo State Government were among those in attendance at the grand reception.
The celebrant, Hon. Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole who was in the company of her husband, Barr. Tive Ohwovoriole thanked God for witnessing the day stressing that it is a celebration of God’s favour.
The Akure Princess who said she was humbled by the large turn out and show of love of friends, family and associates from far and near, thanked all those who personally graced the occasion for finding time to attend.
She also thanked members of her political party, the APC for coming together to celebrate with her saying members must remain united as politics is not a do or die affair but a game.
Giving her remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, the Secretary to Ondo State Government, Hon. Princess Oladunni Odu said it was an honour to be a part of the golden celebration of the Akure Princess.
Princess Odu who described Hon. Omowunmi as a generous woman and a great politician who has served not just the state well, but the entire people noted that her philanthropic gestures is enjoyed by the people most especially the less privileged.
Other highlights of the event include the cutting of the birthday cake and dance with the celebrant as guests were treated to sumptous meals.
Also in attendance include Hon. Saka Yusuf, SSA on Education to Mr. Governor, Dr Wunmi Ilawole, SA on Transport, Barr. Tobi Ogunleye and also Hon. Babatunde Kolawole among other top government functionaries as well as technocrats and captains of industries.
Some of the guests who spoke with media men described Hon. Omowunmi as a rare gem, a woman of great virtue that is passionate about the development of her people.
While also using the opportunity to congratulate her, they expressed their best wishes praying God to grant her more years in good health to fulfil her destiny.
