Ramadan: Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Urges Muslims To Pray For Nigeria

Senator representing Ondo South, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim on Monday congratulated Muslim faithful on the commencement of the Ramadan fasting and prayer.

He urged them to pray for Nigeria as they observe the Ramadan, saying it is an opportunity for the Muslim faithful to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and nation for divine intervention in all the challenges being faced by the federation.

Senator Ibrahim, who is one of the prominent governorship aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State in preparation for the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election in the state, implored Muslims to take the state to God for a purposeful and visionary leader who has the love of the people at heart to emerge as successor of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

He also urged the Ramadan observers to uphold all the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed in respect of the season and show love for their neighbours by giving to the needy during and beyond the season.

According to a statement signed by the billionaire business mogul and made available to neesmen on Monday, all Muslim faithful were urged to seize this opportunity to renew their spiritual life.

The statement reads inter Alia: “I congratulate all my Muslim brothers and sisters in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

“It is important to note that Allah has granted us this opportunity to move closer to Him and make our desires known to Him.

“I want to urge all my Muslim brothers and sisters to remember our nation, Nigeria, in our prayers for divine intervention in all the socio-economic challenges we are currently facing.

“Let us remember to pray for our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding to ameliorate the impact of the current socio-economic situations in our dear nation.

“Let us remember and pray for those who have lost their lives to insecurity and other hardship and extend helping hands to their loved ones left behind.

“This is the season for giving to the needy who are living around us so that they can eat.

“I want to implore you to also pray for our state, Ondo State, that Allah should intervene and ensure a purposeful and visionary leader who has the love of our people at heart emerge as the successor of our late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in November this year.”
