Jimoh Ibrahim Sues Punch, Sonala Olumhense Over Misrepresentation, Distortion Of Facts On Won Cases

…Demands N50 billion Damages
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has dragged The Punch Newspaper and one Sonala Olumhense to court for deliberately misrepresentation and distortion of facts on cases he had won at the Supreme Court.
Ibrahim,who has contacted his counsel, Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN, to commence instituting of suit against the duo for smear champaign starting from tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026.
He referred to alll of the cases cited by the writer as the case he won in court which includes his victory at the Supreme court on Amcon cases. the Union Bank case awarded the sum of over N400 billion in favour of senator Ibrahim.
According to Senator Ibrahim, the writer, Somali misrepresented him and The Punch Newspaper helped him circulate the smear campaign to the public.
He said he had won all the cases cited by Sonala in the write-up and has the evidence.
Senator Ibrahim has vowed to pursue the suit to the logical conclusion.
