A former President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan, who served from 2019 to 2023 during the 9th National Assembly, has congratulated Senator Jimoh Ibrahim on his appointment as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Special Envoy on Mission.
In a telephone conversation with his Senate colleague, Lawan described Jimoh Ibrahim as “one of the finest Nigerians I have had the privilege to work with in the Senate.”
He added, “I called to congratulate you on your appointment as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Envoy on Special Mission. At the beginning of the 10th Assembly, I was initially sceptical about your personality, but having observed you over time, I can confidently say you are different. You are among the few Nigerians blessed with such global exposure.”
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the congratulatory message and goodwill.
