Jimoh Ibrahim Receives ICGS Class of “84” Alumni Award

…Says It’s Time To Help Members, Give Back To Alma Mater
Senator representing Ondo Southern Senatorial District, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim on Saturday received an award of Excellence from Igbotako Community Grammar School Alumni Association Class of 1984.
He was honoured by association during the Year 2024 Reunion ceremony which held at school’s Hall in Igbotako in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

While speaking on the theme of the reunion entitled: “ICGS Class of “84:” Cherishing The Past and Embracing The Future,” Senator emphasized on the need for those among them who are successful in their different endeavours to lend a help hand to those who are in need among them.
He also enjoined his mates on the need for them to give back to their alma mater for the benefit of the current and prospective students of the school.
The billionaire business magnate noted that government alone could not provide all necessary infrastructure and other facilities need for standard and quality education.

He charged his mates to look into contributing the development of their alma mater in whatever magnitude they can for the betterment of students, teachers and the community.
Senator Ibrahim said: “I indeed appreciate you for the honour you bestow on me by presenting me this award.
This is call for more contribution to the development of our alma mater.
“I want to state clearly, just as I had said in different fora, that government alone cannot provide all the necessary infrastructure and educational facilities needed in public schools.
“That is the point where our assistance becomes relevant and important. We should brace up and contribute towards the development of our school, Igbotako Community Grammar School by ourselves.
“It’s time for us to give back to our alma mater and whatever we give would go a long way in impact in the lives of our present students and those that would come after them.

“Our developmental contributions would rob off on the members of staff of the school and Igbotako, the host community of our school.
“It is also important for me to mention this. I want to implore those of us who are to a great extent successful in our different areas of endeavours to offer assistance to our mates who are seriously in need.
“It would be a thing of joy to put smile on their faces by giving them a helping hand in whichever ways we can.
“Let us lift them up by giving the all necessary assistance they really need.”
