The 13 members of the House of Assembly loyal to former Speaker Jumoke Akindele have said they did not boycott today’s sitting in the Assembly.

The group said its members were not aware of the sitting as no notification was sent to them that there would be a sitting today.

According to them, the House does not usually sit on Mondays and Fridays, which are reserved for committee activities.

The group said it held a meeting with the SSA to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Abdusalam Taofeek and other three former Speakers yesterday evening to resolve the differences in the House.

The meeting, it was added, had resolved to hold another meeting between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and all the 26 members of the House today.
