All is now set for Ondo State to benefit from the Global Sanitation Fund Sponsored Rural Sanitation and Hygiene Programme in Nigeria (RUSHPIN). This was revealed in a dialogue meeting hosted by the Honourable Minister of Water Resources, Engr Suleiman Adamu on Tuesday 31st October, 2017, in Abuja.
Ondo Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and Minister Of Water Resources, Engr Suleiman Adamu and other stakeholders attended the dialogue meeting.
Ostensibly, this development is as a result of the earlier call made by the Governor to the Federal Government and Donor Agencies during the 24th Regular Meeting of the National Council on Water Resources held in August 17th, 2017.
Recall that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the meeting had lamented the lack of access to portable water, saying that the situation forced people to result to other sources of water which are not hygienic to human consumption.
