‎Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ,SAN, has described former Lagos State Governor Senator Bola Tinubu as a rare patriot who has contributed immensely to the development of Lagos state and Nigeria at large.

Governor Akeredolu ‎who spoke at the 9th Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Colloquium as part of activities lined up to mark his 65th birthday held in Lagos congratulated the former Lagos State Governor for the accomplishment.

He maintained that, Senator Bola Tinubu is a dogged leader who believes in pursuing a worthy course and urged every other politician to emulate his examplary leadership and sterling qualities.

Akeredolu who said the 9th Bola Tinubu Colloquium with the title “Make it in Nigeria- Use what we make; Make what we use” , was very apt explained that, patronizing locally made goods in Nigeria   should be a wake up call to fast track the nation’s  socio economic development. ‎

He emphasized that, when Nigerians buy locally made products the nation’s economy  would be  more strengthened and viable to compete favorably with its counterparts across the globe.

‎Also speaking, President Mohammadu Buhari represented by the Minister of Interior Abdullahi Danbasau who congratulated Senator Bola Tinubu on his 65th birthday described  him as a committed and pragmatic progressive.

He said the theme of the colloquium is timely  ‎stressing that the Federal Government is on course in  promoting  local contents and the need to patronize Nigerian made products.

In his key note address, the Chief of Air Staff. ,Air Marshall Saadiq Abubakar  harped on the need to patronise local contents in line with President Buhari Admnstratn”s agenda. He noted that the Nigerian Airforce has taken giant strides at avioding over located cost of maintaining aircrafts on its fleet.

Dignitaries that graced the event include,  Vice  president Prof Yemi Osinbajo,governors  of lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Kaduna, Platuea, Kebbi and Sokoto ,Minister of Information and culture Lai Mohammed, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Uguru Sanni, his wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Aliko Dangote ‎among others.
