There’s No Height You Cannot Reach, Sports Commissioner Tells Bemore Girls

• Compensate Founder with Your Success, He Charges

Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Otunba Bamidele Ologun, has assured the Bemore Girls that they can achieve whatever they conceive and believe if they work hard enough.

He urged them to take full advantage of the opportunity they have to be part of the 2023 Bemore Summer Boot Camp.

Ologun said this on Tuesday while addressing new entrants to the Bemore Summer Boot Camp at Mabest Academy, Omolayo Estate, Oke-Ijebu, Akure, Ondo State capital, venue of the camp.

“There is nothing that a man can achieve that is impossible for a woman to achieve. That I can stand before you today as a Commissioner is a pointer to the fact that you can become whatever you want to become in life.

“If I can make it to the position of a Commissioner, it is an assurance that you too can become more; you too can become the President of your country. The preparation starts now, and how far you will go in life begins with how well you utilise the Bemore opportunity.” Ologun said.

The Commissioner who described Bemore as a laudable project added that the only way the girls can compensate the founder for her efforts is by working hard to become successful in life.

According to him, “There are average minds who for lack of knowledge underrate the merits of this very laudable programme. Meanwhile, the founder is a strong-willed personality who is never distracted by noisy criticism, doubts or denials. But, as beneficiaries of this legacy, you must know that the only way you can pay her back for her commitment to your success is to do well in life.

“If Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, can get to where she is today, it means that you can also get there or surpass it. And I believe that this is her prayer for you, which is the reason she tagged this platform as ‘Bemore’ and putting into it her best efforts to make sure that you succeed.”

Ologun congratulated the new Bemore girls and nudged them not to misuse the opportunity, saying: “This is a lifetime opportunity that you cannot afford to misuse. Listen to your instructors and facilitators during your training here. The only way you can misuse this opportunity is if you do not pay good attention. I charge you to take this opportunity seriously and maximise it.

“There are thousands of pupils like you out there who wish to be here but do not have the opportunity, so make the best of it. I congratulate you all for the opportunity you have to be part of the 2023 Bemore Summer Boot Camp.”
