The 8th of October is a very sad day for the people of Ilutitun, Osooro, as a leading political figure, iconic community leader and a son-of -the – soil, Hon. Marcus Niyi Pirisola was laid to rest in the town.
His sudden death and the manner he departed this plain made his funeral emotive and mournful. He was felled by the bullets of unknown assassins barely a month ago, having barely gotten home from his church’ vigil.
Late Pirisola’s burial started on Friday, the 7th of October as the body was briefly laid in state at the headquarters of Okitipupa local government after which he was taken in a motorcade to his country home, Ilutitun.
At the solemn open air funeral programme held for the deceased at the field of St. Augustine Primary school, Ilutitun, there were present, political associates, brethren of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), the town people and dignitaries from far and near.img-20161009-wa0009 img-20161009-wa0005 img-20161009-wa0010 img-20161009-wa0013 img-20161009-wa0011 img-20161009-wa0012 img-20161009-wa0007 img-20161009-wa0018 img-20161009-wa0008 img-20161009-wa0022 img-20161009-wa0020 img-20161009-wa0019 img-20161009-wa0015 img-20161009-wa0021 img-20161009-wa0016 img-20161009-wa0023 img-20161009-wa0017
