In her emotional tribute captioned ” Tribute to Lizzy; My PA, My BEMORE Commander, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu described her as a dependable personal aide, whose demise compounded her state of sorrow, as it occurred shortly after her husband’s death.

Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, however, took solace in the fact that she had a close relationship which remains evergreen in her heart.

In her words” I’m speechless and heartbroken because your death compounded my state of sorrow. After my husband’s passing, while still on your sick bed, you were concerned that you were not around to look after me. You were terrified about how I would cope. But I assured you that I would be fine. That you needed to focus on getting well first. Alas, that was not meant to be. You were gone. My dependable PA gone too soon. My BEMORE Commander gone too soon. Visiting Emeabiam my small London without you is unthinkable.

During the planning of BEMORE 2023 program, while I was in Germany, you assured me that my absence would make no difference. Truely, you had a hitch-free and colourful summer bootcamp… How can the BEMORE Family do without you? Oh death, where is thy sting? Too many deaths around me this season. Too much for one person, totally helpless. However, I’m consoled by the close relationship and fun we had. You remain evergreen in my heart. Rest on Lizzy! “

Mrs Elizabeth Akpan who hails from Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom State is survived by her two children and five grandchildren.

The funeral mass was attended by family members, friends and colleagues of the deceased alongside members of BEMORE Empowered Girls Foundation, BRECAN and FOWOSO.
