Two first half goals from Abbey Joseph and Ajibola Otegbeye were all Sunshine Stars FC needed to beat Moyero FC and retained the Ondo FA Cup title.

The Austin Eguavoen tutored lads made the huge gulf in class and quality known from the start as Abbey Joseph’s 8th minute strike off a volley put them ahead.

6 minutes later Sunhine Stars FC again had something to show for their dominance with Otegbeye’s second goal of the competition off a beautiful team play.

The second half failed to produce any goal as the Owo based side managed to find some strength and forced Stars goal keeper Ariyo David to make some top of the drawer saves.

2-0 was how things ended as Austin Eguavoen enjoyed his first success with Sunshine Stars FC at the state level.

Despite the loss Moyero FC joins Sunshine Stars FC as the flag bearer of Ondo State in this year’s Federation Cup.
