Wife of Ondo State Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu wants Igbos living in Ondo State to be united and speak with one voice as she inaugurates IGBO GENERAL ASSEMBLY (IGA) at the multipurpose hall government house Akure.

Mrs Akeredolu recounted her experience of meeting with so many Igbo groups with different nomenclatures during her electioneering campaign and advised them to be united as a family under one big umbrella.

She said “Igbo General Assembly is a child of necessity, for us to get something from this administration you must speak with one voice and I stand by it”

While appreciating them for their massive support for APC in the last election in the state, she advised ndi Igbo to always carry the women and the youth along in all they do.

The leaders of the Igbo community in their different speeches commended Mrs Akeredolu for making ndi Igbo proud with her numerous humanitarian services to Ondo people, particularly her awareness on breast cancer to save lives.

In his vote of thanks, one of the elders, Mr Tony Ojukwu appreciated the First Lady for her show of concern on the welfare of the Igbos and assured her that they will heed to her advice.
