A former Ondo state chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, Barrister Sola Iji was on Wednesday nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as an Ambassador.

Buhari in a letter sent to the Senate named Iji as non-career ambassador to the Senate for confirmation and approval.

Iji contested as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in 2014 but was defeated by Isaac Kekemeke, he was also a former governorship aspirant of the party.
