SERVICE TO HUMANITY: Oba Akinruntan offers free healthcare to his people

Health, they say, is wealth. An healthy body is a wealthy soul. To further express his love and concern to the healthy living of his people, the Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom, Oba Enitiolorunda Frederick Akinruntan, through his foundation, is once again offering service to humanity.
The Oba Akinruntan Foundation (OAF) is embarking on a Free Medical Diagnosis and Treatment for thousands of people in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State in an exercise that will hold between July 16 and 18, 2017.
Beneficiaries of the scheme will be tested for Malaria, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, blood sugar, blood pressure, eye test, deworming for children and other health related issues.
The exercise is scheduled to hold at Obamakin Osangangan Civil Centre, Olugbo Palace, Ode -Ugbo, Ilaje LGA, Ondo State, on 16th, 17th and 18th of July 2017, starting by 10:00am daily.
Speaking on a phone interview, one of the organisers of the event, who is also the son of the monarch, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, Honourable member representing Ilaje constituency 1, urged the people to come out massively for the programme, saying that it’s free of charge.
He added that Oba Akinruntan Foundation (OAF) is born out of love and care for the people by the monarch, saying this is the first time a monarch will embark on such programme for his people in Ilaje local government and its environs.
Also speaking, another coordinator, Prince Adefemi Akinruntan, also a son of the monarch, said that the event will feature world class equipments for the testing and treatments, adding that the foundation is partnering with professionals in the medical field that will supply the equipment and drugs from the United States of America (USA).
According to him, free eye glasses will be given to those found needing help with their eyesight after thorough test. He urged the people to come out enmass for the programme.
Also speaking, one of the Pharmacists on the medical trip, Mrs Titi Ogunsola, added that the people should be rest assured of credible and genuine drugs and equipments for the testing and treatments.
