Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Attends Coronation, Presentation Of Staff Of Office To Oloto

…Outlines Merit Of LCDAs

Senator representing Ondo South,Senator Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, on Monday attended the coronation and presentation of staff of office to His Royal Majesty, Oba Micheal Olugbemi Sewo, (Jegunyomi-Ludasa II), the Oloto of Igbisi-Oloto land, Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

The staff of office was presented to the monarch by the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Amidu Takuro.

Oba Deep was implored to use the throne to unite the community more than before.

In his address at the event which took place at St Matthew Primary School, Oloto, Senator Ibrahim congratulated the traditional ruler, saying his reign would transform the kingdom.

Speaking on the creation of the new Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), the billionaire business mogul explained that the LCDAs are opportunities for each beneficiary communities to develop their communities.

He charged the natives and residents of all the benefiary communities to unite and design how they improve their socio-economic systems.

Senator Ibrahim said: “I congratulate Your Royal Majesty on your coronation and receipt of your staff of office today.

“I am sure you will turn around your kingdom and I congratulate your subjects today because they are lucky to have you as their king.

“It is also important to mention that the new LCDAs created by the Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration is an opportunity for us to develop our communities.

“I want to call on all natives and residents of Oloto to join hands and design how they can take the socio-economic status of this community to a greater pedestal.

“Don’t leave this to politicians alone, it is the duty of everyone to work hard for the success of the LCDA.

“As your representative at the Senate, I am working hard to ensure critical socio-economic challenges we are currently facing are ameliorated.

“I have presented bill asking for establishment of Bitumen Development Commission for the exploration of the natural resource for the develooment of our district and state.

“The incessant ocean surge being experienced by some of our communities, especially Aiyetoro, so that embarkment contract that was awarded years back could be investigated and constructed.”
