Security beefed up in Ondo over governorship election
Ahead of the Nov. 26 governorship election in Ondo State, security have been beefed up in Ondo State.
The Nigeria Police and the Nigerian Army were seen around in Okitipupa LGA fully armed.
Over 26,000 police officers were deplored to the state by the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris for the governoship election.
DSP Oluwole Ojo, the Divisional Police Officer in Okitipupa said that security agencies were fully prepared for the election.
He said that the presence of the security agencies was to protect lives and properties before, during and after the elections.
“We are fully prepared for the election in order to guide against break down of laws and order.
“There is no cause for alarm, we are poised to protect lives and properties during the election,” he said
