The continued rainstorms that started since the early hours of last Saturday has created havoc on several communities within Okitipupa local government.
It has been reliably gathered that the rainstorm has destroyed properties worth millions of naira across the length and breath of the local government.
While inspecting the affected areas, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Pastor Larry Ogunmusire assured the victims of the rainstorm that government will take urgent steps to avert the situation. He also call on the government at both State and Federal levels to please come into the aid of the local government in order to forestall further occurrences of this natural disasters.
The communities affected by the rainstorm in the local government are; Ayeka township, Ode Aye, Okitipupa township, Ode Erinje as well as Ikoya and Igbotako.
