Principal urges students to participate actively in sports
Mr Ayodeji Meduoye, the Principal of Ofedepe Comprehensive High School, Okitipupa in Ondo State on Friday urged students of the school to be active in sporting activities.
He said that active participation in sports combined with their education would help them build a successful career in future.
Meduoye made the urge in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Okitipupa during the 29th edition of the School’s Annual Inter-House Sports competition.
“Most of our notable and professional sports men and women that are living large today, started from schools because they build a career in sports.
“Sports is a lucrative business, any student who can combine education with sports will create job rather than looking for jobs were there are none,” he said.
