The Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Prince Solagbade Amodeni has said the Ministry is a veritable tool for revenue generation.
He stated this while receiving members of Nigeria Institute of Townplanners (NITP)  in his office.

The Commissioner assured the Institute of the Ministry’s readiness to utilise their submissions and promised that the Ministry will not compromise standard

Prince Amodeni appealed to the Institute to work hand – in- hand with the ministry in the area of revenue generation without putting additional burden on the populace.
He noted that when leaders do it right, the people will also follow on the right footsteps and it will result in a win-win situation for everybody.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Institute of Townplanners Mrs V. O. Adeniyi (FNITP), congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and equally appreciated the government for creating the Ministry as it is in line with global best practices and actions geared at improving human settlements and environment.

The Chairman seized the opportunity to reiterate the indispensability of physical planning in modern times noting its essence in the creation of functional, efficient and aesthetically pleasing environment that easily will attract investors.

She pledged the institute’s readiness and preparedness to work with the ministry in charting a new direction for physical planning and urban development in the state.
