As part of the welcome package for the visiting delegates from Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria, (BRECAN) led by the founder and First Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the founder of Breast Cancer Initiative of East Africa, Philippa Kibugu-Decuir, organized a day trip to the famous Lakeside Fish Farm located at Mwendo cell, Gushora sector of Bugesera district, in the Eastern province of Rwanda.

It is important to note that the Ondo First Lady is an Aquaculturist and a practicing fish farmer

Lakeside Fish Farm, which is Rwanda’s favorite agritourism destination, is situated on a lake-facing sixteen hectare property.

BRECAN members had a memorable farm experience touring the lakeside fish farm which has a wide range of exciting activities and facilities.

Facilities toured by the visiting hope givers include: Lake Mirayi, Fish Hatchery, Broodstock ponds, Floating Fish Cages, Farm Animals, Treehouse, Children’s Play Area, Petting Farm, Organic Farm, Diary, Campground, and Guest House.

The delegates were hosted to a lunch, with farm fresh recipes.
