Members of the Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) hit the streets of Akure, the Ondo State capital in a ‘Jog For Life’ campaign to educate residents of the state on the need to check their breast regularly.

The basic purposes of the campaign include: to keep fit as a means of mitigating breast cancer risk factor, to create awareness on the life-threatening disease, to celebrate survivalhood, and to raise funds for breast cancer patients support.

The jog was led by Princess Oladuni Odu, Ondo state SUBEB chairman, in partnership with Shoprite.

The  5 km jog, starting at Shoprite Akure Mall, Igbatoro road to Isikan Market as participants demonstrated self breast examination.
