Communique issued at the PDP ONDO NORTHERN SENATORIAL DISTRICT Meeting held at the Deputy Governor’s Lodge, Government House Grounds, Akure on Wednesday 25th May, 2016.

PREAMBLE
The leaders of the PDP in the six Local Government Areas of Ondo North Senatorial District viz: Akoko North East, Akoko North West, Akoko South East, Akoko South West, Ose and Owo met at the instance of the Deputy Governor, HE, Alhaji Azeez Oluboyo to deliberate on the state of the PDP in ONDO North and also strategize ahead of the November 26, 2016 Governorship election in ONDO State.
In attendance were the Deputy Governor of Ondo State; HE, Alhaji Abdulazeez Oluboyo, SENATORIAL officers of the Party, former and serving members of the state executive council and House of Assembly of ONDO North extraction, top male and female PDP leaders, former and serving local government chairmen, party officials, political appointees and other distinguished sons and daughters of ONDO North SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
At the end of the deliberations, PDP leaders from ONDO North resolved as follows:
(1) That we, the people of Ondo Northern Senatorial district declare our unalloyed support and loyalty to the leader of our Party and Governor of ONDO State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, CON and our great Party, the PDP.
(2).That the people of Ondo North will henceforth speak with one voice and pursue a unity of purpose on issues that affects the growth and development of the land and her people especially as regards the strengthening of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the November 2016 elections.
(3) That, efforts would be geared up to further entrench unity among party leaders and members going forward.
(4).That it is the turn of Ondo North Senatorial district to produce the Governor of Ondo State and the zone therefore resolved to produce a worthy successor who will continue the lofty programmes of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
(5).That all sons and daughters of ONDO North that are interested in contesting the November 2016 Governorship election should show their intentions and let our Zone quickly decide ahead of the primary elections.
(6) That as much as possible, all gubernatorial aspirants from ONDO North should play by the rules and put the interest of the party and people at heart.
(7) That the SENATORIAL Strategic Committee has swung into action to develop a template with which the ONDO NORTHERN Agenda shall be prosecuted.
(8). That the people of Ondo North deeply appreciate the intervention of Dr.Olusegun Mimiko led administration in the area of infrastructure, social amenities and political appointments. The people also call on the Government for more projects especially on roads.
(9).The people committed the ‘ONDO North Agenda for Governor’ to the Almighty God. We are convinced that, it is the turn of ONDO North. We therefore resolve to deploy our energy and resources with unity of purpose to ensure that our Senatorial district produce the next Governor of Ondo State.
We resolved all of these today, Wednesday 25th May 2016.
