OSOPADEC activities in 2018 will be ICT-driven, the Chairman of the Commission has promised. Towards this end, Management Staff will be empowered with ICT knowledge and devices in the first quarter of the new year.
Hon. Olugbenga Edema gave the promise Thursday, in his closing remarks at a 3-day retreat which the Commission organized for its Management Staff at the Public Service Training Institute (PSTI) Ilara Mokin in Ifedore LGA.
With the theme; Change, Performance and Results, the retreat was declared open by the Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Funsho Esan and the Head of Service, Mr. Toyin Akinkuotu.
A major feature of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between an establishment of the Chevron Corporation, Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) and the Commission.
Retreat facilitators team comprised; a former Head of Service in the State, Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, Executive Director of PIND, Dr. Dara Akala and an International development expert, Mr. Ade Ogunmefun.
About seventy OSOPADEC staff participated in various sessions including; Drivers of Organisational Performance, Commitment and Work Planning as well as Departmental Presentations.
