The entire Board of the Commission comprising the Chairman , Commissioners and the Secretary assisted by the bureaucracy undertook a 3-day projects verification in the mandate area between Wednesday and Friday (19 – 21 July).
The Board traversed the whole length of Ilaje, land and water, starting from Araromi and Igboegunrin on one end, to Odun Igo, on the other.
Diverse projects ranging from road to school buildings, staff quarters, health centers and electrification – were inspected.
While inaugurating the Board on the 10th of April this year, the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, had given assurances that no project of the Commission would be abandoned, a position which contrasts with the practice of the past where succeeding governments abandoned the projects introduced by their predecessors to pave way for theirs.
Some of the projects inspected were introduced by the Governments of Adefarati and Agagu while others were of the immediate past administration.
The tour was a follow-up to the meeting which the Commission had with contractors on the 17th of May this year – both gearing for reviving and revitalizing of inactive projects.
Similar tour is scheduled to take place in the Ese-Odo axis of the mandate area soonest.
