The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II yesterday in Ile-Ife described Islam as a religion of and Urged all the Muslims in Nigeria to emulate Prophet Muhammed who established the globally accepted religion of peace practiced by faithfuls who believe in the indisputability of the Almighty God.
Ooni Ogunwusi said this on Monday at the EID praying in Ile-Ife while thanking God for making the people witness the 2016 celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. He appealed to all Nigerians to endure and persevere, as Prophet Mohammed did.
“2016 Eid-el-Kabir is worth celebration for Islam is a religion of peace, I urge all and sundry to embrace peaceful coexistence across the country and emulate the holy Prophet Muhammed who God used in founding this globally accepted religion thousands of years ago”.
He added that all the challenges facing the nation will not last, opined that there will be an end to it soonest, called them to use this celebration to pray for economy, stability of peace, harmony in Nigeria.
