The newly inaugurated Head of Service (HoS) of Ondo State, Mr Dare Aragbaye has charged the accounting officers in the state to embrace repositioning of public service
Aragbaye stated this during a meeting with accounting officers of the state Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs) on Friday in Akure.
Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had inaugurated Aragbaye on Monday.
He said that repositioning of public service could not be achieved alone without carrying along other accounting officers of various MDAs
Aragbaye advised them to ensure that worker’s welfare and industrial harmony in their various MDAs was paramount.
He added that value orientation and punctuality should not be enforced, but achieved together by being part of public service culture.
“This is like a follow up to the mandate given to us,i am leading the effort to reposition public service to reform or reposition is not a one man affairs.
“And these are accounting officers to make it happen in various ministries, actions and step to be taken will be in that direction,” he said.
Aragbaye said the meeting would be a continuous one and committees might be formed to achieve some of the set targets.
