The opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP suffered another dilapidating blow on Monday 22nd January, 2018, as it lost another prominent leader, Honourable Olamide George, Chairman of the House Committee on Youth & Sports to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC in Ondo State.
Olamide George who represents Akure North Constituency in the State House of Assembly hinged his decision to dump his former party, PDP on the leadership style of the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN.
” I watched the Governor with keen interest since inception; his loyalty, his straightforwardness, what he can’t do he will not say he will do. This is the kind of leaders we want “, he said.
The State Chairman of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin who spoke earlier stressed the need to maintain harmony in the legislative arm of government.
The Governor while receiving the new entrants said there wouldn’t be waiver for anybody who join the party late most importantly now that the timetable for the 2019 elections has been released.
