Ondo Government approves Oduyi as Niyon/Alakpaka of Kiribo
The Executive Council of Ondo State has approved the appointment of Prince Ajayi Johnson Akinde Oduyi as the Niyon/Alakpaka of Kiribo in Ese-odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Lola Fagbemi, the Niyon/Alakpaka of Kiribo is one of the recognised chieftaincies in Ese-odo Local Government Area of the state with an approved registered declaration.
The Niyon/Alakpaka stool became vacant on February 13, 2013 following the death of the former occupant of the stool, Oba Fredrick Anjorin Omosegbon.
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs conveyed approval for the selection process of filling the vacant stool of Niyon/Alakpaka of Kiribo on July 6, 2017.
At their meeting held on July 29, 2017, the kingmakers of Kiribo elected Prince Ajayi Johnson Akinde as the Niyon/Alakpaka-elect.
