Ondo First Lady, medical experts brainstorm on breast cancer prevention
The Founder of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) and wife of the Ondo State Governor, Arabinrin Betty-Anyanwu Akeredolu has joined other medical experts across the globe to proffer solution to the dreaded breast cancer disease.
Mrs Akeredolu, while presenting a paper entitled: “CROWDFUNDING: AN ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF FINANCING CANCER TREATMENT” described cancer as a dreaded decease which it’s treatment cannot be afforded by a common Nigerian.
She called on the relevant stake holders in the health sector as well as government at all levels to budget more funds to the sector as an alternative means of eradicating the dreaded decease.
Similarly, in another paper presented by one of the advocate for breast cancer eradication in Nigeria and wife of the Governor of Kebbi State, Mrs. Zainab Atiku Bagudu, at the 3rd International Breast Cancer Symposium held at the Public Service Training Institute Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Stressed the needs for philanthropist, religious body and public spirited individuals to continue by assisting the victims of the breast cancer in seeking medical treatment at the hospital rather than resolving in street begging.
The week-long programme which featured educative and interactive session was attended by medical experts across the world as well as survival of the dreaded breast cancer decease to mention a few.
