First Lady of Ondo State, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu wants Nigerians to intensify effort in comprehensive
awareness creation in the fight against the life threatening disease “ breast cancer” in Nigeria.
Mrs Akeredolu who is also the founder of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria BRECAN, made this call in her presentation during the official opening of the BREAST and GYNEA CENTRE of Reddington hospital in Victoria Island Lagos.
The sunshine state First Lady said that Nigerian women need to know and pay attention to the fact that the fight against breast cancer can be won, if only they do the right thing at the right time, which is if they notice any change or lump in their breast they go to hospital immediately and not going from one prayer house to another for solution while the cancer cells multiply.
While commending Reddington Hospital for their giant stride in providing quality health care for women by establishing a state-of-the-art medical and wellness centre dedicated to women’s health in Nigeria ,which she said is a welcome development, Mrs Akeredolu advised that their services should be made affordable to Nigerian women, particularly those in the rural area.

Commended the efforts of the CEO of Reddington hospital Dr Adeyemi Onabowale for combining technology and expertise in the provision of quality health care delivery for Nigerian women.
