“The opposition parties in the state are on our trail. They are watching and monitoring every move of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State. While their interest is not borne out of love for us but, contempt. They are praying that we make mistakes to give them a talking point on us. But so far, they have come short of that expectations.”

The Chairman of APC, Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, made this statement while meeting with the 18 Local Government Chairmen of the party at the party’s secretariat during the presentation of buses to all the Local Government areas in the state.

Engr. Adetimehin, also, dwelled on the need to redouble efforts as a party to ensure a landslide victory for the party in the coming governorship election in the State.

He said it is important for the Caretaker chairmen to always consult with their party chairmen for the purpose of working together for the greater good of the party.

Also, the State Chairman said all eyes are on APC as the party to beat in the coming election. “While the opposition wished to be in our position, unfortunately they lacked the organisational ability and convivial atmosphere in their crises riddled party to be. That is a party that can not conduct, for instance, a simple primary exercise.

It is a shame what their party come out with in Kogi. Whereas, our own party conducted a free and fair primary exercise.

At the event, Hon. Victor Olabimtan, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters & Strategy, represented Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. He thanked the Local Government party chairmen for their efforts and resilience, especially, after the last general election. He said Governor Akeredolu regretted his inability to personally attend the buses presentation ceremony as he is still on vacation. He however urged the party to put the buses to proper use as an object to uplift the image of the party.

Arakunrin Akeredolu, also, used the occasion to put to rest the rumour going round that the buses where withdrawn from the party chairmen for other considerations as untrue. It was initially withdrawn so as to ensure rebranding of the buses to reflect the logo of the party after the Presidential election used logo that featured the picture of Buhari/Osinbajo.

Akeredolu, used the occasion to unveil the new logo of the party “GOING HIGHER”. This became necessary after the party has attained its goal of “Next Level” at the last general election.
