Hon. Agunola Omomowo, the Executive Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State has tasked councillors to fulfil their electioneering promises to the people.
He said that fulfilling the promises would justify the confidence reposed in them during the elections that gave them the mandate.
Hon. Omomowo gave the advice on Tuesday at the swearing in of the 12 councillors at the LGA chamber in Igbokoda.
He also called for the cooperation of the executive arm of the LGA, urging them to shun unnecessary in-fighting adding that peace should be the watchword rather than violence.
“I urge all our councillors to fulfil all electioneering promises to justify the confidence repose in you by the electorate.
“I also solicit for the cooperation of citizens of the LGA as this adminidtration is poised to make life meaningful to them irrespective of party affiliation,” he said.
The swearing in ceremony was graced by prominent leaders including Chief Sola Ebiseni the Commissioner for Environment also the gubernatorial aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Others are Pastoe Oluwole Johnson Ogunyemi, the Chairman,OSOPADEC Chairman, Hon. Prince Abayomi Babatunde Akinruntan, member, Ondo House of assembly representing Ilaje 1, Hon. Banji Ben Okunomo, the  state PDP Publicity Secretary, Hon Otito Atikase, SA to the Governor, Chief Debo Ajimuda a former Chairman, OSOPADEC and host of others.
