Omogbehin Gives Bursary, Library, Ambulances to constituency
Hon. Mike Omogbehin, member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a well equipped library to Idepe High School, Okitipupa.
He also gave no fewer than 230 students in the various higher institutions of learning within his constituency (Okitipupa/Irele constituency) across the country bursary awards of N10,000 each, and donated two brand new Peogeut Patner ambulances which also served as a mobile clinics to Okitipupa and Irele Primary Health Centres.
The federal legislature did empower artisans with empowerment tools, among which are 22 Bajaj and Suzuki motorcycles, six generators, 12 grinding machines, 20 sewing machines, 12 modern mechanical screening machines for mechanics and 12 modern vulganising equipment for vulganisers.
In his speech, Hon. Omogbehin said, “the votes of my constituents had been a great investment in him which prompted me to give back to my constituency. My constituents need better treatment especially in the area of economic empowerment, education and health which were part of their yearnings and which are pivot parts of my goals.
He promised to continue to represent his constituents well and ensure he move motions that would develop his constituency.
“My constituents deserved the best especially in education and health, these i promised to give back to them. I promised to also engaged youths through agriculture and skills acquisition programmes as part of dividends of democracy to develop the youths. have also moved a motion on challenges of erosion and power outage in our constituents which i believe will see the light of the day.”
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with Ondo Events hailed Hon. Omogbehin for his gestures, saying that the investments in youths was an investment for the nation.
Mr Ayomikun Akinnola, a student of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo said that the busary awards was a big relieve to him. “I am happy for this gesture of Hon. Omogbehin, I pray that God ll abide with him and his family.
Miss Damilola Ogunbiyi, a student of University of Ilorin also said that the lawmaker has invested in the nation by investing in the youths.
Another beneficiary of motorcycle, who lauded the politician for his gesture urged other politicians to emulate him.
His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye, the Jegun of Idepe, Okitipupa shower encomiums on Hon. Omogbehin for his representing the constituency well and the heart of giving back to the constituency.
Kabiyesi Adetoye also urged other politicians to emulate the politician adding that such gesture would help in faststracking development in the state. He urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment and enjoined then to always support the politician.
Other monarch present are HRH, Oba Gabriel Babatunde Faduyile, the Abodi of Ikaleland, HRM Oba Thomas Adesayo, the Ahaba of Ajagba, HRH Gbadebo Bajowa, the Rebuja of Osooro and others.
Hon. Kolade Akinjo, member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency and other eminent PDP members were present at the ceremony held at the Idepe town hall, Okitipupa. Demola Suzy, a juju musician thrilled guests to the best of juju music at the occasion.
