The Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, Oba Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, (Ogidi III), has expressed shock over the sudden death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke, also known as “Serubawon”. In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ayodeji Owolabi, the monarch said there are no words that can express how shock he was when he received the news of Adeleke’s death.

He said the State of Osun has lost one of her illustrious sons to the cold hands of death. He described Senator Adeleke as a very vibrant and valuable member of the National Assembly, whose ability will be missed greatly. “He was a dedicated member of the Nigerian Senate, who believed in the unity of Nigeria and her development.”
The monarch also recalled the last time he spoke with the late senator, noting that he was committed and dedicated to the development of his people and that of the country.
He said Senator Adeleke’s outstanding contributions and services to the people, including his humanitarian services for the less privilege will be remembered forever. His demise is an irreparable loss for the people of Ede in Osun State and Nigeria as whole.
He therefore convey his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late senator, friends and the people of Ede, and pray to God to grant them the strength to bear the great loss.
