The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has called on the ousted former Deputy Governor of the State, Alh. Lasisi Oluboyo, to immediately refund all monies, salaries, entitlements, privileges and vehicles received as the Deputy Governor of the State when he illegally held sway over the office in spite of repeated warnings about its legal implications.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Party’s State Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya.
Adesanya commended the appellate court’s ruling that nullifies the impeachment of Alh. Ali Olanusi and ordered that all rights and privileges of the office of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State be accorded him (Ali Olanusi) from the time of the illegal impeachment till the end of the tenure.
The Party lampooned the State’s judiciary under the leadership of the former Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi. His regime is characterized by high disregard to the rule of law, nepotism, impunity and corruption, which brought the temple of justice into disrepute. No wonder the appellate court chided the judge, describing him as unfit to occupy that position. Ondo State judiciary is in needs of total overhauling and reform in the interest of all and sundry, especially, the common man.
We advised the else-while former and illegal occupant of the office of the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lasisi Oluboyo, to with immediate alacrity, refund all monies accrued to him, either as salaries, allowances or emoluments, while illegally occupying the exotic office of the Deputy Governor of the State. Oluboyo was also urged to return all government vehicles and properties at his disposal to the Governor’s office, so as to prevent government from resorting to the use of force in recovering those items from him,(Oluboyo), the statement reads.
