Oka Agog as 2nd Edition of Akogun Olugbenga Omole Football Competition holds

Hon.Akogun Olugbenga Omole, the Lawmaker representing Akoko South West Constituency 1 in the Ondo State House of Assembly last week Unveiled the Trophy and Medals for the Winners in this year 2nd Akogun Olugbenga Omole Annual Football Competition for Oka Day 2019.

This year Competition is bigger than last years as 20 Clubs from the 8 Wards that made up Constituency 1 of Akoko South West are participating,unlike last year where 13 clubs participated. At a meeting with the Club Team Managers and Coaches where the fixtures for the 2nd round fixtures was done,Akogun reiterated his commitment to the Development of Oka and he stated that through sport particularly Football a lot of people could be lifted up financially.

He stated that his dream is to see a number of Oka youths secure live changing Football Contract before the end of his tenure as a Lawmaker.Cash gifts were given to the 8 Clubs that did not make it to the 2nd round.

The Competition which started on Sunday 7th July will come to an end on Friday 2nd August 2019 where an Ex-International and Olympic Medalist, former Super Eagles Goalkeeper Dosu Joseph will lead a number of renowned Football Coaches and Scouts to Ojominrin High School Agba,Oka Akoko to fish for talented footballers.

Just like the first edition where Ex Super Eagles Defender was on Ground, the presence of Dosu Joseph will serve as an inspiration to the young Footballers. Winners will go home with a Giant Trophy and mouthwatering rewards.The paramount ruler of Oka Kingdom will hand over the Trophy to the winners in the presence of other dignitaries and other Football Love.

The semi finals of the Annual Football Competition comes up on Monday, 29th, July 2019 as T.B.A FC Iwaro will be playing Ologbese FC of Ibaka, while Big Star FC of Agba will be playing Evergreen FC of Ikanmu on Tuesday 30th July 2019 for the second Semi Finals.

The 3rd Place Match will come up on Thursday 1st August 2019 while the Final comes up on Friday 2nd of August 2019 by 3.30pm at Ojominrin High School Playing Field Agba Oka.
