Obasuyi tasks Nigerians on protection of democracy

A senatorial hopeful in Ondo State, Prince Afolabi Obasuyi has called on Nigerians to continue to have hope in democracy and a brighter future for the country

Prince Obasuyi who is hoping to represent the people of the central senatorial district in the 2019 election stressed that the goal of the founding fathers of the nation could be achieved with a collective reasoning.

According to a statement signed by his spokesman, Mr… Olotu, the Akure-born politician said most countries that have passed through difficult times in the past and have scaled through have had their dreams realised out of patriotic and collective approach.

Prince Obasuyi called on the political class to justify the confidence the electorate have in them by fulfilling electoral promises which would play critical roles in restoring the hope of the people in Democratic institutions

The senatorial hopeful stressed that all hands must be on deck to protect the nation’s democracy which he emphasized has a better platform that would reposition the image of the country among comity of nations.

Prince Afolabi Obasuyi who analysed that the worst civilian administration is better than the best military regime appealed that those in positions of authority should be supported to achieve their dreams and plans.

The business mogul expressed the hope that the reformist ideas and infrastructural drives as well as various social intervention programmes being promoted by government would go a long way in impacting positively on the lives of the people.

The senatorial hopeful also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari whose administration clocks three years on the visionary steps being put in place to create a new Nigeria with focus on human and societal development.

He added that those who had not collected their permanent voter cards should do so to enable them participate in the process of electing leaders of their choice at various levels of governance.
