Wife of Ondo state governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu granted audience to a delegation of students and teachers from her alma mater Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri north LGA of Imo State at her Alagbaka office Akure, Ondo state, who were in the state for a national brain bee competition.

The delegation led by the bishop’s chaplain of Anglican diocese of Egbu Rev. Progress Chima Okoroafor said they came to congratulate the first lady (their old girl) on their guber election victory in the state and to update her with some recent academic exploits made by her alma mater.

Rev. Okoroafor said Egbu girls has maintained the legacies Mrs Akeredolu and her set left behind and revealed that the school which represented Nigeria in international Brain bee competition in Australia in 2015 and in Denmark in 2016 has qualified today to represent Nigeria in Washington DC this year.

Mrs Akeredolu who was so excited with the visit congratulated the students for their exploits and commended the teachers for sustainingthe tempo of academic excellence which the school was known for during their time.

She said “It is heartwarming to hear that my alma mater is still doing very well, it was about the best school during our time, am very pleased and happy you are still excelling”.

She also wished them well as the represent Nigeria in America.
