Mimiko Mourns Ojo Madueke, Amadi
Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has described as shocking the deaths on Wednesday, of the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Ojo Madueke and literary icon, playwright and Novelist, Dr Elechi Amadi.
In his condolence message issued by the Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, Governor Mimiko who is also the Chairman of the PDP’s Governors forum said Chief Ojo Madueke in his life time was a man of peace who was goal oriented.
The late BOT secretary he said, represented everything good , noble and a good example of a team player. His death at this time when he is more needed by the PDP, the Governor offered, was shocking .
Also describing Amadi as a force in the literary field, Mimiko said he would be missed sorely, especially by the many lives he was able to touch and influence through his writings.
Mimiko said the departed men manifested richness in wisdom and related with all in love and thus pray that God grant them eternal rest and give their families, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the losses.
