Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has condoled with the family of the late Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Okitipupa local  government , Evangelist Niyi Pirisola and the people of the Local government over the death of the P D P stalwart which occurred early hours of Friday.

In his condolence message issued in Akure by the state’s Commissioner for Information,  Mr. Kayode Akinmade, Dr Mimiko said news of the assassination of  the Chairman came to him as a rude shock.

Describing the late Pirisola  who was also a former Caretaker Chairman of Okitipupa local government as a loyal and committed party man who demonstrated his love for state and community, Mimiko  said the Chairman’s death is most unfortunate and wondered why he was picked by his assailants to be silenced in such a cruel manner, he thus directed security operatives to ensure that his killers are brought to book.

Governor  Mimiko  prayed God to give the people of the local government and the family of the departed the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss .
