Mike Omogbehin presents Scholarship to Designate Lawyers
The lawmaker representing Okitipupa /Irele Federal Constituency , Mike Adeniyi Omogbehin, has given scholarship to intending Law School students from Okitipupa/ Irele federal Constituency who are set to enroll for the 2016/2017 law school.
The gesture according to Omogbehin, was in fulfilment of his electoral promises to his constituency, having realised education was pivotal to the development of a nation.
Omogbehin said the scholarship award was part of his own contribution to the development of his constituency and also to encourage the designate lawyers.
“I promised when I was seeking your support that scholarship and bursary would be given to the students, and that outstanding students would be encouraged. These I have done and I want to affirm to you that it is going to be continuous for the period of four years. Investing in youth is the best legacy for any country.Eleven students benefited from this scheme last year. Two hundred and thirty students benefited from the undergraduate bursary scheme. The process for this year has begun and so another set of two hundred and thirty students will again benefit.
Honourable Mike Omogbehin, congratulated the recipients and urged them to make good use of the money.
One of the beneficiaries, Ekundayo Oluwafemi commended the lawmaker’s
gesture, saying it would go a long way in helping them, as it would constitute huge financial relief to the beneficiaries. He then described the lawmaker as a humble and passionate leader.
In the same vien, Bawa Seun, said leadership was all about being responsible to the followers. He admonished other well-meaning Nigerians and the people’s representatives across the country to emulate the gesture of Omogbehin.
Other areas of contribution by the lawmaker to the growth of education in Ikale land include the building of a modern library in Idepe Okitipupa, Irele and Igbotako. All the projects were in the 2016 National budget.
While restating his commitments to other initiatives, Honorable Omogbehin assured that he would continue to do his best to better the lives of the people.
