The acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, On Monday described the Special Assistant Media Relations to the Governor of the State, Mr. Olorunleke Akeredolu as a compassionate and loyal servant, who is exceptionally committed to his work.
Mr. Akeredolu, before his redeployment, was the the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor. Mr. Tope Okeowo is now the new DCPS.
Ajayi gave this description during a mini-sendforth organised for the former Staff of the Deputy Governor at the Governor’s office, Alagbaka Akure.
The Acting Governor said he will personally miss his former aide for his commitment to his work during his two and half years in the Deputy Governor’s office.
“I can only say thank you Leke. You are a perfect gentleman, who came from a responsible home. There has never been any assignment given to you that you failed to deliver.
“I told oga, (Mr. Governor) that I am going to miss you and that if I should have the opportunity to nominate someone in future, I will surely nominate you.
“I trust you that you will do well in your new assignment Since it is the same administration, it is my joy that your redeployment will add great value to the media team of Mr. Governor.
“Don’t be far from us. Still see this place as your office. I’m still your boss and feel free to relate with me”
Responding, Leke Akeredolu described his relationship with the Acting Governor as father to son, saying he would ever remain grateful for the opportunity he was given to serve in the Deputy Governor’s office.
