The University of Lagos Senate and Governing Council honoured past Vice-Chancellors who rendered selfless services to uplift the university. On 23rd January, 2017, as part of the activities marking the convocation, the Senate and Council unveiled the new names of some infrastructures within the institution. Professor Tolu Odugbemi, OON, NNOM, FAS, former Vice-Chancellor of University of Lagos and Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) and former Provost of the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos was among the honorees as the University of Lagos Staff School Hall was renamed as “Tolulope Odugbemi Hall”.
