Jimoh Ibrahim Congratulates Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu At 70

Billionaire business mogul and Senator representing Ondo South, Senator (Dr). Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR has congratulated wife of Ondo State Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on her 70th birthday.

Describng the First Lady of the state as an advocate of parity, Senator Ibrahim said she has really made serious impact in ensuring more slots are given to women in public offices in the state.

He said she created a niche for herself in fighting for girl-child in the society to make them have access to all benefits their male counterparts have been enjoying.

Congratulating her as she turned a septuagenarian, Ibrahim said the First Lady is agile and looks younger than her age because she engaged in walk from time to time.

According to the statement, “I want to celebrate with the First Lady of my state, Chief (Mrs.) Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on her 70th birthday.

“It’s good to go into the past of the Ada Owere 1, she has made serious impact in the life of women. She fought for more slots for women in appointment of public officers, particularly political appointees.

Besides, she’s an advocate of parity and that made her encourage a lot of women in the state to contest for different elective positions in the last General Elections.

“Through BEMORE summer bootcamp, the Arabinrin has liberated many young girls in reshaping their future.

“Many of them have excelled in ICT, Solar energy installation and many other professions hitherto regarded as exclusive preserve of male child.

“The new septuagenarian in town has saved many women from being killed by cancer through her nongovernmental organization, BRECAN, by educating and enlightening cancer patients and urging women to do self-examination for early detection of the killer ailment.

“I just want to say happy birthday as you wax stronger to continue the fight against injustices and cancer in Ondo State, Nigeria and worldwide.”
