The 2019 participants of the BEMORE Summer Bootcamp for Girlsnaija would not only leave the camp equipped with intellectual skills but also with educational materials to aid their studies.
Aside the laptop computer set promised each one of them upon completion of the training, and skills acquisition, they would be leaving with brand new school bag each, among other educational items.
The educational materials tagged “Education Rescue Mission Package”, were today presented to the camp by the authorrity of Irele local government area of Ondo state to complement the effort of the initiator and wife of the state governor, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu.
Presenting the package to the First Lady at the venue of the ongoing BEMORE Summer Bootcamp in Ilara-Mokin, the Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Tobi Akinbiola noted that the move was aimed at partnering the initiator to achieve the BEMORE objectives of raising outstanding and self-reliant girls.
“It is heartwarming to note the advocacy and socioeconomic agenda of Her Excellency as encapsulated in the BRECAN and the ongoing BEMORE Summer Bootcamp 2019 for Girls naija, both of which have made Ondo state a place of pride in the comity of states in Nigeria.
” In recognition of this giant stride, Irele local government has deemed it fit to support Her Excellency with package of incentives tagged ‘Education Rescue Mission Package’. He said.
To further appreciate her positive intervention in promoting the cause of women, the Local Government bestowed on her an award of Excellence and Honour.
In her response, Mrs. Akeredolu who wass amazed by the unexpected gesture, appreciated the local government authority for the exemplary support.
She was elated that the BEMORE initiative was being appreciated contrary to the insinuations in some quarters that it is a money-making strategy.
“I thank you from the bottom of my heart, all the staff of Irele local government, you have amazed us for this exemplary kindness”.
