A Prince of Igbokoda and an APC stalwart, Bolaji Odidi has given the assurance that the incoming government of Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu shall give utmost priority to how to reduce the high level of youth unemployment in Ondo state. He gave this assurance in the course of an interview with our reporter.
Odidi lamented the high rate of unemployment in the state, stressing that Ondo state has not embarked on massive youth employment in almost eight years. He also noted that the government of Rotimi Akeredolu shall prioritize agriculture as Agric villages shall be established in the three senatorial districts of Ondo state.
He noted that in Ondo South for instance, emphasis will be placed on fish farming, so that the youths can be taught how to embark on aquaculture on an industrial scale.
On the victory of APC in Ondo state, Prince Bolaji Odidi maintained that the victory was made possible because the people wanted change. He said Akeredolu’s victory at the poll has put an end to the politics of ” godfatherism ” in Ondo state.
On his assessment of the Governor – elect, Odidi said Akeredolu is a cool headed team player, a lawyer who has reached the pinnacle of his profession and a dogged fighter of human rights. He noted that he has no doubt in his mind that Akeredolu will bring succor to the people of Ondo state.
When asked while he has been so consistent with APC, Prince Odidi stressed that his association with the progressive has come a long way. He maintained that as a young undergraduate he had followed religiously the footprint of progressive politicians and now as a politician himself, he cannot afford not to team up with the progressives.
Odidi noted that he has contributed immensely to the growth of APC in his ward, his constituency and the state, stressing that just like in 2012, he branded vehicles for his party candidate as well as providing moral and financial support towards ensuring the success of his party.
On Monday, the 26th of December, Prince Bolaji Odidi will be hosting the people of his ward, Mahin ward 3, Igbokoda in a show of gratitude for their support for the victory of Rotimi Akeredolu in the November 26th gubernatorial poll.
