The Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State was on Friday thrown into mourning following the tragic death of the Executive Charman, Mr Agunola Omomowo.
Ondo Events realibly gathered that the late Ilaje LGA boss died in Akure after a attending a political meeting which lasted for hours.
According to Mr Bode Omoyoloye, the Special Adviser on Media to the late Agunola who also confirm his death said that his boss was not having any illness before his death.
He said that his death came as a rude shock to the whole LGA as the town was thrown into total confusion when the news filtered the air.
“He was not showing any sign of sickness before his death because he left Igbokoda to Akure for a political meeting wth his vice and the Secretary.
“After the meeting, he slept in an undisclosed hotel, but he slumped before he got to his car and died before getting to the hospital.
“He was a fine gentleman, easy going and generous to all as he was been enjoyed by all Ilaje indegenes since he was sworn in as the LGA boss,” Omoyoloye said.
He was elected as the Ilaje executive chairman at the April 24 local government poll.
Late Omomowo, aged 61 was born in July 1956 at Obe Rewoye community in Ilaje LGA, he was married to Mrs Abiola Omomowo and was blessed with six children
