With Praises in various spirit-filled songs to God Almighty, the congregation of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Adako Assembly, Iyere in Owo Local Government Area has again celebrated the inauguration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as the sixth democratically elected governor of Ondo State.
In the congratulatory message of the Owo Area Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria,Pastor Isaac Ogundele which was presented by Pastor Michael Adeleye, the emergence of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as Governor of Ondo State was described as the divine wish of God for the people of Ondo State.
He urged leaders at all levels in the country to embrace godliness for the numerous challenges confronting the country to fizzle out.
In the sermon of Pastor Michael Adeleye, the governor was assured of the continued support of the church in prayers but advised him to remain focused on God, make Jesus Christ his role model, give prayers lots of priority and trust only God at all times and in all situations.
In his remarks, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, who acknowledged that his unflinching faith in God gave him the victory being celebrated, promised to continue to rely on Him for support and strength to succeed.
He however used the opportunity to appeal to the congregation to build the Church of God by catering for the needy in the society more than it was presently being done
Dignitaries at the service who came to honour God with the governor included the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun; Chairman Caretaker Committee, Owo Local Government Council, Hon. Gani Omoluka; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale; the Oliyere of Iyere, Oba Omotunde Alaba Adako with High Chiefs of Iyere and Owo and several of their prominent sons and daughters.
Highpoint of the service were prayers for the governor, the state
and the country.
