The Olupenmen-Elect, Prince Ebenezer Adewumi Ogunmolasuyi has called for synergy among traditional rulers in Owo for all round development in the council area.
Prince Ogunmolasuyi who made the call while playing host to the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III at his palace in Upenmen, said the council area can only regain her lost glory when the traditional rulers have a united front.
While, thanking the Olowo for his familiarisation tour of all communities in the council area, Prince Ogunmolasuyi expressed optimism that this would go a long way in bringing the people together.
The Olupenmen-Elect, while appreciating the good works of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, appealed to him to elevate the status of Princess Olufunmilayo Ademulegun-Brown, a SUBEB member, as well as accommodate more Upenmen indigenes in his government.
He also charged an astute businessman and philanthropist Chief Tayo Dapo-Aisida who was on the Olowo’s entourage to extend his benevolence to other communities in the local government.
Oba Ogunoye in his remarks thanked the people of Upenmen community for the choice of Prince Ogunmolasuyi as their traditional ruler saying he is well equipped to take the town to an enviable height.
The monarch who said he was proud to visit the communuty after his enthronement relieved nostalgic feelings of his maternal franternity with the Upenmen people.
While appreciating the warm reception accorded him by the Oba-Elect and his people, Oba Ogunoye promised his immense support to take Upenmen to greater heights.
Senior chiefs, prominent indigenes, elders, youths and women in Upenmen community were all on ground to receive the Olowo for the historic visit to the ancient town.
